How To Sell More WITHOUT Being An Expert Salesman
Today's blog post deals with what might be the single most important thing when it comes to increasing sales conversions as a marketer.
A lot of people figured out that they need to build an e-mail list... they've figured out how to build a list... but they don't necessarily know how to increase their sales conversions.
In my personal opinion, the single most important thing that you need to focus on if you want to increase your sales conversions is simply knowing your marketplace... knowing exactly what those who make up your marketplace want... and then simply putting an offer that's exactly what they already want... right in front of them.
So you can literally have the best offer in the world, but if it's not a message to market match with the people who make up your marketplace, you're never to make the sales... you're not going to make any profits... you're not going to create any revenues in your business.
You can have literally the best filet mignon in the world... the best because piece of steak in the world... but if you try to sell it to the vegetarian, he or she is not going to buy it.
You can give a 50% - 75% sale on that steak. But still, if you are trying to sell it to a vegetarian, he or she is not going to buy it.
The most important thing when it comes to increasing your sales conversions... that I think one of the reasons why I can sell a lot of affiliate products and have success...is because I know exactly what the Internet Marketing marketplace wants. Then I simply tailor my offers exactly to them.
What does the Internet Marketing marketplace want?
They want done-for-you solutions... they want push-button systems... they want new revolutionary software, etc. that will take most of the work out of the equation for them.
They want you to be there with them, giving them personal one-on-one coaching, step-by-step action plans for them to go out and take action on, etc.
They want really bold guarantees... so if ever you can make a guarantee where they can buy your product from you and if they are not satisfied, you give them their money back, allow them to keep the product, and also send them $100 just for wasting their time. So consider doing risk reversal, etc.
So it's crucial to know, kind of baseline, exactly what the marketplace wants. And at a core level the opportunity marketplace, the Internet Marketing marketplace more or less wants free money.
They want to be able to go out and get involved in something and just have money pour in without them taking any action.
For you as a marketer, that obviously is not not realistic. But what your job is... is to create the offer that is as close to that ideal perfect situation that your prospect wants... as humanly possible.
So if we look at some of the best offers that convert the best in this industry... there are step-by-step systems that have done-for-you phone sales teams...
Done-for-you email follow-up... done-for-you offers... done-for-you webinars, sales presentations, etc. Lots of done-for-you offers... lots of one-on-one coaching offers... lots of step-by-step coaching, etc. Lots of risk reversal... lots of same guarantees, etc., because that's what the opportunity marketplace wants.
So circling back to the core message of this post... if you want to sell more... if you want to be more profitable with your list-building effort... then you want to know how to create offers that crush it in the opportunity space.
In order to do that, you have to learn exactly what the marketplace wants... and then you simply give the marketplace exactly what they want with a rock-solid offer.
If you do that, you don't need to be the absolute ninja salesman.
You don't need to know every neurolinguistic programming technique under the moon.
You simply need to be able to go out and create an offer that people already want, and are predisposed... and then put that offer in front of that audience.
So spend the time and research necessary to know who your market is... exactly what your market wants...and simply give it to those people. And remember...you don't need to be best salesman in the world.
